17/06/2020 Important notice, please read:
Following guidance from the College of Podiatry, we are now open as close to normal as possible under the current circumstances and can provide a range of essential treatments.
If you would like to book an appointment, please call us on 427 4937. We can offer appointments only to those who need a face to face appointment and who cannot be helped via the telephone etc. Those who can be helped remotely will be.
Please remember that due to the changes described below we are not able to see as many patients per day as we were prior to the pandemic, so we may not be able to offer you an appointment as soon as you would prefer. Please be patient with us, the special measures are in place for everyone’s welfare and we are doing the best we can in these difficult times.
Due to the pandemic you will notice a few changes when you attend your appointment…
What we will be doing:
Allowing more time between appointments for extra cleaning before the next patient arrives. This also ensures you do not encounter another patient on your way in or out of the building.
Keeping the waiting area closed whilst social distancing measures are still in place.
Wearing extra PPE for the safety of both staff and patients.
Keeping appointments as short as possible, reducing contact time between you and the podiatrist (Sadly, this means that we will not be able to offer the warm wax therapy).
The toilet will be for staff only for the foreseeable.
What we will ask of you:
Please book all appointments by phone. No drop ins.
Please arrive on time. The front door will be locked. Your podiatrist will greet you at the door for your appointment. If you arrive early, please wait outside or in your car.
Please do try to get here on time. If you are running late please call and let us know. We may need to rearrange your appointment so we do not keep other patients waiting.
Please attend your appointment unaccompanied where possible. (obviously parents/guardians will need to accompany any patients aged under 16, and carers may need to attend with some patients)
Please wear a face mask/covering for your appointment. If you have a medical condition or other concern about this, please discuss with your podiatrist when booking the appointment.
Please use the hand sanitiser gel (provided) on entering and exiting the building
Please pay for your appointment by card – contactlessly if possible. We will no longer be accepting cash as payment.
Please bring an up to date list of all your medications with you so we can update our records.
Whilst these measures should reassure you that we doing everything we can to make your treatment as safe as possible (for you and the podiatrists), we are aware that some of you will still be reluctant to attend an appointment just yet, or are perhaps shielding. If you wish to wait a little longer for podiatry treatment, please do not worry. If you call us perhaps we can give you some foot care advice to keep you comfortable until you can visit us.
Please note: On arrival for your appointment we will take your temperature and ask some screening questions. If you have a high temperature, any signs/symptoms of Covid-19, have returned from overseas within the last 2 weeks, or have been in close contact with anyone known or suspected to have Covid-19, we ask you not to attend your appointment and to follow Government advice regarding self-isolation
